A map of the path for walking to the Gallery from Civic

Walking from Civic to the National Portrait Gallery takes around 45 minutes.

Walk along Northbourne Avenue to London Circuit. Follow it to Constitution Avenue, then walk along Allara Street and cross Parkes Way using the footbridge. Walk through Commonwealth Park and cross Lake Burley Griffin via Commonwealth Bridge and then follow the lakeside path until you reach Commonwealth Place. Walk up the channel and the National Portrait Gallery is on your left.
